L.A.N. Webcomic – Updates EVERY DAY

L.A.N. Chapter 2 page 16 [2]

Hello everyone,

so we finally got to the end of the second chapter. I hope you liked what you read so far as much as I enjoyed making it! :)

I’d like to tell you that L.A.N. will enter now in a brief hiatus until March. I’m preparing something very special for you! Some of you already know what it is. If you are tuned in for at least six months, you know very well what I’m preparing for you, and believe me, it’s totally worth the waiting!!

So, don’t tell me I didn’t warn you… it’s gonna be a blast! I’ll try to update the blog (below) once in a while, so if you are interested in other news from Tlob Studios (which is my animation studio, *hint hint*) be sure to come back regularly.

Meanwhile, if y’all would like to check Sidewise, my other webcomic, I’d be thankful. A new page is updated every Thursday, so be sure not to miss it.

Thank you for your patience on these last panels, it was hard to get to finish them, but here they are ;)

That’s it! See you all soon.

Upcoming animated movies – part 1

Who doesn’t like to go to the theater and watch a nice animated feature these days? Especially now with the advent of the 3D to enhance the entertainmet experience to the max.

Since I’m a huge fan of animated features, as you may have guessed, I figured I’d write a series of posts figuring the upcoming ones I’m most excited about. And of course, I’d love to hear your opinion about them too ;)

- How to Train Your Dragon

From Chris Sanders, director/character designer of Lilo & Stich (and the voice of Stitch on the few times he actually talks). Which equals good, since L&S was alright for me compared to 90’s Disney movies. I’m happy to see how Chris explores the whole new field that is the third dimension in the trailer below:

The Dragon is an impressive cute/wild character, kinda the same way as Stitch is. But instead of Hawaii, the setting is somewhere Viking this time, which makes things a lot more interesting for me.

- The Princess and the Frog

I know this one is on theaters in the most part of the world, but not yet in my town. 2D is my passion, is the kind of animation I’m more hooked to, and since it’s a 2D Disney feature in a time of sooo many 3D ones I’ll gladly go to the cinema see this girly movie with a smile on my face.

Although I’m not that happy with the fact that they’re not really pushing any boundaries in either animation or story, as I understood watching this trailer:

For the ones of you who have already seen it, what did you think? Were you entertained by it? I was afraid people would not be diggin’ 2D anymore, but the box office numbers proved me theory wrong. I guess the mix of the “princess” + “fairy tale twist a la Shrek” + “early 90s Disney style” formulas worked, so we can only hope they make another attempt at a 2D feature soon!

A new era begins…

… as the new L.A.N. website is up and ready to run like a steam engine hungry for some coal!

*HOORAY!*

As the machinery hums,  my thinking mind can’t help but wonder if you have any idea of what I am preparing for you in the upcoming year.

Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how much I want it, I can’t give you any taste of it for now.  Wait and see for youselves. Believe me, it will be worthier than a thousand words I say.

I gladly welcome you to the world of Zendahrit. How deep will you allow yourself to dive into it  is up to you. Come have fun with Nate, Tlob and friends!
